RISE Scholars
RISE Scholars is a one-year academic success program structured to assist in the transition from high school to college for newly committed, underrepresented students at the University of Georgia. The program’s purpose is to increase the retention, progression, and graduation rates of its scholars by providing academic, personal, social, and professional engagement opportunities designed to ensure their holistic success at the University of Georgia.
DAWG CAMP RISE
Students accepted into the program begin their experience by attending Dawg Camp RISE,
an extended orientation summer bridge component of the RISE Scholars program. This
experience lays the foundation for students’ academic success through a cohort-building
model, focusing on establishing positive academic and social experiences.
Dawg Camp RISE will not take place in 2022. Please visit in 2023 for updates,
or contact diverse@uga.edu if you have further questions.
